Delivery times and charges

Most of our products are held in stock at our premises in Oxfordshire, ready to ship. Items in stock are usually shipped within three working days and will be with you within 6 business days, with the exception of items listed as "furniture", which may require 10 days to be delivered. In most cases, your order will reach you sooner than that. Some special order products are stocked at our suppliers' premises, either in Italy or in the UK: for these products delivery time is noted in the item's description and  usually varies between 15 and 28 days. If you contact us before placing your order we'll be happy to confirm lead times. Please do contact us if you have any question.

We inspect and individually pack every product before dispatch, and use trackable and insured delivery services as standard.
Orders are usually delivered Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5pm and in most cases a signature will be required on receipt: please ensure that a receiver is present to take delivery, as delivery attemps and missed deliveries increase the risk of damaging the goods. Please note that such risk, as well as any additonal cost, will be passed to you if you fail to meet a delivery. We are happy to arrange a delivery to your place of work or to a neighbour, if you wish. Depending on where you live, deliveries on Saturdays and/or before noon can also be arranged.
Your sales receipt and returns form will be included in the parcel. If you are buying a gift for someone, we can wrap it and send it directly to your family or friend, and we'll send the sales receipt separately to you. Check out our gift-wrapping service for more info.

When your order is dispatched we will send you an e-mail to notify you, containing the estimated transit time and delivery instructions. With orders of more than one item the products may occasionally be dispatched separately, however you will be charged once for the cost.
All transit times are provided by the carrier and are given as estimates. We use reputable companies to make our deliveries, and are fully confident that they will get your goods to their destination as fast as possible, however it is important that you are aware that unforeseen delays can occur and we cannot be held responsible for delays occurring after the products have been dispatched.

All of our deliveries are insured, so please check the parcels and the products as soon as you receive them. If the parcels appear to be damaged please report this when accepting delivery, and retain all original packaging. Faulty or damaged products must be reported to us within 2 days from receipt, as per our Returns Policy

Please note: if we do not know about the problem, we can't rectify it! If your order fails to reach you within 10-14 days after despatch, and/or any products appear to be damaged,  please do let us know so that we can investigate and rectify the situation. If we don't hear from you we'll assume you have satisfactorily received your order and all related despatch documents will be filed. No claim whatsoever will be accepted after 30 days from despatch.

If your order weights more than 50 kg please contact us to arrange a special delivery.

Delivery to UK

We use Royal Mail recorded Signed for or courier as standard, so all our deliveries are traceble, insured and signed for. We use regular 1st class post only for very small items that can go through the letter box, like cards.

Delivery costs include packing, and depend on the combined weight of your purchase. They are calculated automatically and the amount is displayed during the checkout. Delivery prices are calculated using the following rates:

Estimated delivery times are: 
UK mainland and Northern Ireland: 1-3 working days, 
Islands and some remote areas of Scotland:  2-5 working days

If you need a faster service, just get in touch with us with your request. We can make sure your order is processed immediately, and can arrange next day delivery, delivery on Saturdays and delivery before noon (not all services are available in all areas). Just ask.

Delivery overseas

We deliver all over the world, using Royal Airmail or courier. Please contact us with your address and postcode, and we will provide you with a quote for shipping costs to your location.

When placing an order from oversea, please be aware that Contemporary Living Solutions cannot be held responsible for any import duties or other taxes in the destination country. If you are in doubt, we suggest you contact your local customs office.
