This bespoke deck was built in the garden of a river-front house in Berkshire, with the intent to connect the house to the mooring, and to provide a pleasant area where to enjoy the river Thames during the spring and summer months.

The decking is custom made using cut-to-measure balau, a very durable hardwood with a reddish-brown colour.

Hardwoods are highly resistant to fungal growth and offer naturally superior levels of durability and wear resistance, without any additional chemical treatment. They must be kept clean and free from moss & algae, and with basic care and maintenance with treatment oils, they retain their natural beauty year after year.
